My Story

I am Nguyen Tien Anh Quach. I am from Vietnam. I came to the US in August, 2016 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at Troy University, Troy, AL.

During my time in college, I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places in the US and in the world. In Spring 2018, I went to study abroad in Sweden for one semester. The trip was filled with amazing educational and cultural experiences, great friends, and mind-blowing scenery.

I came back to the US in Fall 2018 after a semester in Europe to continue my study and start diving into basic science research. I finished my Bachelor's degree with Summa Cum Laude honor in 2020. In Fall 2020, I started pursuing a Master of Science degree in Biology at Towson University, Towson, MD in Dr. Gresens' Stream Ecology lab. Check out my research here.

Hobbies: I love traveling to places. Feel free to also check out my albums with selected photos here. Pictures were taken from various states in the US and countries in Europe.

I also love working out, hiking, and playing guitar. And I have a pet mantis named Lotus, which is a lobbed dead leaf praying mantis, Deroplatys lobata (Guérin-Méneville, 1838). Huge thanks to Lohit (my fellow Biology graduate student) for giving me the mantis. Check out his Instagram.
